MGM Grand Adventures Theme Park, Theme park at Las Vegas Strip, Nevada
MGM Grand Adventures Theme Park was an amusement facility at the Las Vegas Strip with seven rides and four theaters spread across roughly 33 acres (13 hectares). The grounds divided into different zones including Casablanca Plaza, New York Street, and Asian Village, each creating a separate setting.
Construction started in October 1991 and the park opened on December 18, 1993. It was converted for corporate events in 2000 and later replaced by residential buildings and recreation facilities.
The park represented Las Vegas's shift toward family entertainment in the 1990s, incorporating movie studio themes and theatrical performances throughout its venues.
Management capped daily visitors at 8,000 instead of the possible 16,000 to reduce waiting times at attractions. This meant less crowding on the grounds and guests could experience more during their visit.
The theme park transformed into The Park at MGM Grand for corporate events in 2000, before its land became home to The Signature condos and Topgolf.
