Lorenzo Hubbell Trading Post and Warehouse, Trading post building in Winslow, United States.

The Lorenzo Hubbell Trading Post is a brick building with warehouse space that functioned as a commercial hub in western Winslow, Arizona. Today it houses the town's visitor center and displays historical exhibits about regional commerce and trade.

The building was constructed in 1917 by Hubert and Richardson, then acquired in 1921 as part of Lorenzo Hubbell's network of trading posts across the region. This transition connected the site to a broader history of commerce between Native American and settler communities.

This post served as a meeting place where Navajo weavers and local craftspeople sold their goods to travelers and merchants. It shaped how the community valued handmade textiles and traditional skills.

The building is located in western Winslow and now functions as a visitor center offering tourist information and exhibits about the area. Plan to spend time exploring the displays and asking staff about local sites and the surrounding neighborhood.

The site preserves more than 350,000 artifacts, including 264,000 original business records that document trade interactions between different communities. This collection offers rare insight into the everyday transactions and relationships that shaped life in the region.
