Sreemangal Upazila, Administrative division in Moulvibazar District, Bangladesh
Sreemangal Upazila spans across multiple tea plantations at 12 meters elevation, featuring green hills and agricultural lands in northeastern Bangladesh.
The region received its name from two brothers, Sri Das and Mangal Das, who established settlements near Hail Haor during earlier centuries.
The population of 361,801 residents includes Muslim and Hindu communities, each maintaining their traditions through local festivals and celebrations.
Nine union parishads form the administrative structure of Sreemangal, providing governmental services and development programs to local communities.
A copper plate dating from the 11th century was discovered in Kalapur, indicating early human settlements in this tea-producing region.
