Xinjie Christian Church

Xinjie Christian Church is a large stone structure featuring traditional Chinese architectural details blended into its Protestant design, positioned at the intersection of Zhongshan Road. The building integrates local design elements that give it a distinctive appearance combining both religious and regional aesthetics.

The building was constructed in 1848 and stands as the first Protestant church ever built in Xiamen. This founding marked a significant moment in the city's religious history and established the foundation for the Christian community that grew here.
