Qingjiao Ciji Gong, Taoist temple in Haicang district, Xiamen, China

Qingjiao Ciji Gong is a Taoist temple in Haicang, Xiamen, featuring traditional Chinese architecture with curved roofs, stone carvings, and decorative wooden details. The structure contains multiple halls arranged around courtyards, each housing religious statues and altars for worship and offerings.

The temple was founded during the Song Dynasty to honor Wu Ben, a physician who served the local community through healing. Over the centuries it received imperial endorsements from successive rulers, which solidified its importance in the region.

Locals and visitors come here to perform rituals and make offerings in hopes of receiving blessings for their families and health. The temple fills with incense smoke throughout the day as people pause before the statues to express their wishes and prayers.

The temple is located near Maqing Road and is accessible to visitors daily without any entrance fee required. Clear signage helps visitors navigate the space, and there is ample room to explore the different halls at a leisurely pace.

Inside the temple stands a stone formation naturally shaped like the Chinese character for heart - 心 - a detail many visitors overlook when walking through. This rock sits strategically positioned within the temple grounds and attracts notice only from those observing carefully.
