Xiamen Zhangzhou Bridge

The Xiamen Zhangzhou Bridge extends for 11.7 kilometers across the Jiulong River estuary, featuring two towers that rise 227 meters into the sky.

Construction of this major transportation link began in August 2009 and reached completion in May 2013, marking a new era for regional connectivity.

The bridge represents China's engineering capabilities in the southeastern coastal region, connecting the port city of Xiamen with the agricultural center of Zhangzhou.

Vehicles crossing the six-lane bridge can maintain speeds of up to 100 kilometers per hour, with a toll fee of 25 yuan per crossing.

The bridge's 780-meter main span ranks among the longest cable-stayed segments globally, reducing travel time between cities from two hours to 30 minutes.
