Haibao Pagoda Temple

The Haibao Pagoda Temple features a massive pagoda rising 53.9 meters high with eleven stories constructed from brick and stone materials.

Originally built in the 5th century, the temple underwent multiple reconstructions following earthquakes in 1712 and 1778 during the Qing Dynasty period.

The Mahavira Hall contains the Three-Life Buddha statues and Eighteen Arhats, while the Hall of Jade Buddha houses a Burmese-style Shakyamuni statue.

The square base of the pagoda measures 19.7 meters on each side, with internal wooden planks separating levels and staircases leading to the top.

Located formerly on an island within a lake, people traditionally sailed to the temple on the fourth day of the fourth lunar month for ceremonies.
