宝珠洞, Buddhist cave in Shijingshan District, China

The Cave of Precious Pearl sits at the summit of Pingpo Mount and features stone walls decorated with black and white gravel patterns. The cave is accessible through a marked path within Badachu Park and offers wide views over the surrounding landscape from its elevated position.

This cave was completed in 1780 and bears imperial inscriptions from Emperor Qianlong above its wooden gateway. It was built as part of the sacred site during a period when religious monuments received imperial favor and support.

This cave forms part of a sacred complex with eight Buddhist temples where visitors can observe traditional Chinese religious architecture in action. The site shows how believers created holy spaces within nature over many generations.

Access is through Badachu Park, which requires an entrance ticket and operates from early morning until evening. It is best to arrive in the morning to enjoy the views and avoid crowds that gather later in the day.

The minerals in the walls create pearl-like reflections when light hits certain surfaces, which is the actual reason for the site's name. This natural feature often surprises visitors who discover it while walking through.
