Feuerbach, Administrative district in Stuttgart, Germany
Feuerbach is a district on the western side of Stuttgart characterized by residential areas and industrial facilities. The area contains schools, churches, and community centers that serve the approximately 29,000 people living here.
The area was first mentioned in 1075 as Biberbach and developed as an independent settlement over the centuries. Its incorporation into Stuttgart in 1933 ended its separate status and reshaped the local administration.
The area grew around the Robert Bosch factory, which continues to shape daily life and provide work for many residents. The manufacturing site and surrounding neighborhoods form the core of this district's identity.
The district is well connected by subway and streetcar lines, with bus stops throughout the area. Early mornings or late afternoons offer a better sense of the neighborhood's character when it is less crowded.
A railway tunnel built in 1848 between Stuttgart and Feuerbach was among the first in Germany and helped spark industrial growth in the area. This engineering achievement later enabled large factories to establish themselves here.
