Pic de Maupas is a granite summit situated on the border between France and Spain within the central Pyrenees. The peak rises prominently above the surrounding landscape with rocky terrain dominating its upper slopes.
The name Maupas means "bad passage", referring to the awkward passage between the Maupas glacier, now disappeared, and the summit slope. The peak, also called tuca de Malpás in Aragonese, culminates at 3,109 m on the Franco-Spanish border between Aragon and Haute-Garonne.
