An Giang, Administrative province in Mekong Delta, Vietnam.
The territory extends across 3,536 square kilometers of flat lands with numerous waterways, canals, and small rivers throughout the Mekong Delta region.
The province gained its current administrative structure in 1976, developing from a region marked by the ancient Óc Eo culture of the first millennium.
The province includes communities of Vietnamese, Khmer Krom, Chinese, and Chăm people who maintain their distinct traditions through festivals and religious practices.
An Giang connects to surrounding regions through a network of waterways and roads, with Long Xuyên serving as the provincial capital.
The Cấm Mountains, also called Thất Sơn range, contain religious structures and form a distinct geographical feature in the western district.
