Pyramid of Unas, Royal pyramid in Saqqara, Egypt
The white limestone structure measures 43 meters in height and 57 meters at its base, featuring smooth sides and underground chambers.
Built in 2360 BC for Pharaoh Unas, the last ruler of the Fifth Dynasty, this pyramid marked the end of an era in Egyptian architecture.
The burial chamber walls contain the first known Pyramid Texts, a collection of 283 spells designed to guide the pharaoh through the afterlife.
Visitors enter through a metal railing on the north side and follow a narrow passage leading to chambers with ancient inscriptions.
The structure incorporates a 750-meter causeway with painted reliefs depicting daily life scenes from ancient Egyptian society.
