Tawaramoto Station, railway station in Tawaramoto, Shiki district, Nara prefecture, Japan
Tawaramoto Station is a surface railway station in the town of Tawaramoto, serving the Kintetsu Railway's Kashihara Line. It has two platforms and two tracks with a basic station building, ticket machines, a waiting area, and East and West entrances connected by an underground passage.
The station opened in 1923 and carried different names over the decades, including Kinki Nippon Tawaramoto during the 1940s, before taking its current name in 1964. It grew alongside the town's development and became a key connection point for residents and travelers reaching the surrounding area.
The station is easy to reach with parking available and bike racks nearby, plus bus lines serving the area. Both platforms are accessible via stairs, with ramps for those with mobility needs, though there are no elevators or escalators.
The platforms can accommodate six train cars, a notably large capacity for a small town station. This generous space allows the station to handle busy periods without feeling crowded.
