Jebel Hafeet beehive tombs, Ancient burial grounds at Jebel Hafeet mountain, United Arab Emirates.
The archaeological site features more than 500 domed tomb structures made of uncut stones, forming a vast cemetery at the mountain base.
Dating from 3200 to 2600 BCE during the Bronze Age Hafit Period, these tombs contain skeletal remains and artifacts indicating trade with Mesopotamia and Iran.
The burial chambers reflect early architectural methods, with circular walls rising to create domes approximately three meters in height and width.
Accessing the tombs requires a four-wheel-drive vehicle to navigate the unpaved roads near the Mezyad border post and camel farms.
The structures contain imported Mesopotamian pottery, stone beads, and metal weapons, demonstrating advanced trade networks of the ancient Arabian Peninsula.
