El Collao Province

El Collao Province is an administrative region in the Puno Department of the Andes, covering several districts. It includes multiple smaller towns and communities, with Ilave serving as the main administrative center that connects different local areas.

This province was created in 1992 as a separate administrative unit within the Puno Department. The establishment aimed to improve local governance and administration for Andean communities in the region.
