Link River Dam

Link River Dam is a gravity dam that spans approximately 113 meters (370 feet) across the river and stands about 7 meters (23 feet) tall. The structure creates a reservoir behind it that holds water for irrigation and other regional needs.

The California Oregon Power Company built this structure in 1921 under agreements with the Bureau of Reclamation. The project emerged from efforts to control water flow from Klamath Lake for the surrounding region.

Local residents depend on this structure for both farming and power, viewing it as central to how the region manages its water resources. The dam shapes the landscape and reflects how communities balance different needs from a single waterway.
