Ancient Lotus Pool

Ancient Lotus Pool is a heritage garden in Baoding containing two connected ponds surrounded by old trees, classical pavilions, and traditional bridges. The water forms the central focus of the space, with structures and planting arranged around these natural features.

The garden was founded in 1227 and initially served as a private retreat for a military commander. Over time it evolved into a recognized center of learning and culture, retaining its importance through the centuries.
