Monte Rosa Massif, Mountain range at Valais, Aosta Valley and Piedmont, Switzerland and Italy.

The Monte Rosa massif contains ten peaks above 4000 meters, with the Dufourspitze reaching 4634 meters as Switzerland's highest mountain peak.

The first expedition to reach Dufourspitze occurred on August 1, 1855, with a team led by Charles Hudson alongside seven other mountaineers.

German-speaking Walser communities established settlements in the valleys surrounding Monte Rosa during medieval times, influencing the naming of numerous peaks.

Cable car systems from Champoluc and Alagna provide access to high-altitude points, reaching Testa Grigia at 3300 meters and Punta Indren at 3260 meters.

The east face of Monte Rosa rises 2400 meters toward Italy, creating the tallest mountain wall formation in the Alps.
