Meilu Villa, Historical villa in Mount Lushan, China.
The two-story Meilu Villa displays a combination of Roman, Gothic, Islamic, and Japanese architectural elements within its design and construction.
Built in 1903 by Lord Lannoze, the villa later became the residence of Chiang Kai-shek and Soong Mei-ling during their 15-year stay.
The villa contains original furnishings including an American piano and carbon dioxide refrigerator, with preserved bedrooms displaying historical photographs.
Visitors need to drive 40 minutes through mountain roads from the main visitor center to reach the villa in Lushan Resort.
Both Chiang Kai-shek and Mao Zedong spent time at Meilu Villa, marking it as a significant location in Chinese political history.
