The Ghaziabad district stretches across 1,273 square kilometers in northern India, bordered by Delhi and five other districts of Uttar Pradesh state.
The district emerged from Meerut district in 1976 when Chief Minister N.D. Tiwari declared its independence on November 14, marking a new administrative era.
