Fateh Burj, Victory minaret in Chappar Chiri, India
Fateh Burj is a victory tower in Chappar Chiri, Mohali, standing 100 meters tall with three stacked levels. The complex includes an amphitheater and several monuments spread across a wide compound.
The tower was built to remember the success of Sikh forces in 1710 against Wazir Khan in the Battle of Chappar Chiri. Banda Singh Bahadur led the army, which fought several engagements against Mughal troops.
The name recalls a victory, while statues show the military leadership team from that period. Visitors see figures of the commander and his five generals arranged on six mounds around the tower.
The site lies around 20 kilometers from Sirhind and offers free parking along with a large amphitheater seating over a thousand visitors. The visit works best during morning or evening hours when the sun is less intense.
Each level marks a different battle that was decisive for the Sikh campaign. The lowest tier stands for Samana, the middle for Sadhaura, and the top for Chappar Chiri itself.
