Wyra Reservoir is an earth dam built across the Wyra River in Telangana, standing about 27 meters high and stretching over 2,300 meters across the landscape. The water stored here irrigates thousands of acres of farmland and supplies drinking water to nearby towns and villages in the region.
Wyra Reservoir was constructed in 1930 and officially opened by Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who later became President of India. It was one of the early water management projects in the region, designed to serve farming communities for generations to come.
