Jaén Province

Located in southern Spain, Jaén Province spreads across 13,484 square kilometers of mountains, valleys, and extensive olive groves reaching the Sierra Morena range.

The province gained its current administrative structure in 1833, following centuries of strategic importance during the Medieval Christian reconquest of Spain from Muslim control.

The Renaissance cities of Úbeda and Baeza, designated as UNESCO World Heritage sites, display notable architectural elements through their palaces, churches, and public squares.

The province contains 97 municipalities connected by a network of roads, with the main A-4 highway linking Madrid to the southern Mediterranean coast through Despeñaperros.

With 66 million olive trees covering 550,000 hectares, this territory produces more olive oil than the entire country of Italy, representing 20% of global production.
