Jinsha Site Museum, Archaeological museum in Qingyang, Chengdu, China.

The Jinsha Site Museum is an archaeological center in Chengdu that houses discoveries from the prehistoric era. The exhibition spreads across several halls where visitors see objects crafted from gold, jade, bronze, stone, and ivory.

The site was used by the ancient Shu civilization around 1200-800 BC and remained hidden for centuries afterward. In 2001, construction work accidentally brought these archaeological treasures to light.

The collections reflect the craftsmanship of the ancient Shu people, particularly through gold ornaments and carved jade pieces. These objects give visitors a sense of what mattered to the inhabitants and how they spent their time.

The museum is located northwest of the city center and is easily reached by public transit, including metro and bus services. Visitors should allow several hours to explore the different exhibition halls at a comfortable pace.

Among the exhibits is a rare gold ornament depicting a bird figure that became a symbol of Shu culture. This intricate piece shows the sophisticated craftsmanship that existed more than three thousand years ago.
