Jayanca District

Jayanca District is an administrative area in Lambayeque Province in northern Peru. It consists of various communities with farmland, vegetation, and settlements that together form this local territorial unit.

The Sarayoq people settled here in ancient times and had connections to larger Andean cultures. The area was later incorporated into the colonial administrative system and has existed as a local unit ever since.
