Borakalalo is a game reserve in North West South Africa covering around 13,500 hectares of varied terrain. The landscape includes woodlands, open scrubby areas, and the Moratele River, which winds through dense forests and feeds into Klipvoor Dam.
The reserve was established as an IUCN category IV protected area to maintain habitats for native species across the Transvaal region. This protected status shaped its development into an important conservation area.
