Bahía de los Ángeles

Bahía de los Ángeles is a coastal town along the Sea of Cortez with fifteen volcanic islands nearby, surrounded by desert landscapes and mountain ranges. The water here is clear and sheltered in parts by the islands, while the surrounding terrain remains open and rugged.

The town was founded in 1746 and grew significantly during the 1800s when silver deposits transformed the area into a mining center. This period of extraction shaped the settlement's development for many decades.
