The stadium opened in December 1987 with a match between Chapulineros de Oaxaca and Pioneros de Cancún. It operated for nearly three decades before closing in 2015 to make way for a cultural and convention center.
This venue became the central point for football development in Oaxaca, hosting multiple teams including Chapulineros and Cruz Azul Oaxaca throughout its existence.
The site is located within the city of Oaxaca and can be reached by walking or using local transportation. The venue has been closed since 2015 and is no longer available for football events or regular visits.
During the 1992-1993 season, the stadium witnessed Chapulineros winning the Segunda División B championship against Tecomán.
