Atlantis Condominium, Residential skyscraper at Brickell Avenue, Miami, US
The Atlantis Condominium is a 20-story residential building on Brickell Avenue with a glass exterior wall system. A prominent void cuts through its center, creating an open courtyard that penetrates the entire structure.
Arquitectonica completed this 68-meter-tall residential tower in 1982, establishing new architectural standards in Miami. The project marked a turning point in the city's urban design during the early 1980s.
The building became famous through appearances in the Miami Vice television series and the Scarface film, where it represented the city's urban character. These film roles made it a symbol of Miami in international popular culture.
The building houses a total of 96 residential units distributed across its floors and served by two elevator cores. Visitors should note that this is private residential property with limited public access to interior spaces.
At the heart of the building sits a five-story sky court featuring a red spiral staircase, a jacuzzi, and a palm tree against a yellow wall. This colorful composition creates a striking contrast to the modern glass architecture surrounding it.
