Ainsworth State Park, State park in Columbia River Gorge, Oregon, US
The park extends along the Columbia River Gorge, featuring seasonal campgrounds, multiple hiking trails, and natural areas within a forested landscape.
John Churchill Ainsworth, a Portland banker and State Highway Commission chairman, donated 40 acres of land in 1933 to establish the park.
The Civilian Conservation Corps constructed the initial trails and picnic facilities in 1935, contributing to the park's recreational infrastructure.
The park provides 40 full-hookup camping sites, six walk-in tent areas, flush toilets, showers, and direct access to the Gorge 400 Trail.
Located at the eastern end of the Waterfall Corridor, the park serves as a gateway to multiple waterfalls including Multnomah, Latourell, and Horsetail Falls.
