Chandigarh Capitol Complex, Modernist government complex in Chandigarh, India.

The Capitol Complex contains three primary buildings: the Palace of Assembly, Secretariat Building, and High Court, spread across 100 acres in Sector 1.

Le Corbusier designed this architectural ensemble in 1953 as part of the new city development plan following India's independence from British colonial rule.

The complex reflects modernist architectural principles through its concrete structures, geometric forms, and spatial organization that connects governmental functions with urban planning.

Visitors must register at the tourist information center in Sector 1 and present identification documents such as a driver's license to access guided tours.

The Tower of Shadows demonstrates architectural innovation through its design that prevents direct sunlight entry from all angles except the north side.
