Wet'n'Wild Water World

Wet'n'Wild Water World is a water park on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia, featuring slides and multiple pools for visitors of all ages. Two dedicated zones cater to younger children, while the rest of the grounds spread across a large site with various flumes and swimming options.

The site opened in 1984 under the name Cade's County Waterpark and grew into one of the largest water attractions in the Southern Hemisphere. The owner later introduced the Wet'n'Wild brand and expanded the complex over the following decades with new slides and pools.

The name references the wet-and-wild thrill of sliding and splashing, a phrase that became popular in water park branding. Families from across the state treat the site as a day-long outing, picnicking under the shade structures and returning year after year for school holiday celebrations.

Lockers are available to rent and towels can be hired at various points around the grounds. In winter some slides close, but heated pools and covered sections provide comfort on cooler days.

The Tornado slide sends riders through a wide funnel where they swirl in spirals before shooting through a dark tube. The Kamikaze is considered one of Australia's first slides to use upward momentum in its boomerang shape.
