DreamWorks Experience, Theme park attraction at Dreamworld in Gold Coast, Australia
The DreamWorks Experience was a themed section within Dreamworld in Queensland, bringing together fifteen rides and attractions centered around characters from DreamWorks animated films. The area was divided into several zones, including Madagascar Madness, Shrek's Faire Faire Away, and Kung Fu Panda: Land of Awesomeness, each representing different movie worlds.
The area opened on March 31, 2012, taking over the site of the former Kid's World, which had previously featured Nickelodeon content. The attractions remained until 2023, when the site was transformed into Kenny and Belinda's Dreamland.
Madagascar Madness, Shrek's Faire Faire Away, and Kung Fu Panda: Land of Awesomeness brought international animated characters to Australian audiences through rides and shows.
Visitors could access several dining options and merchandise shops, including Madagascar Cargo Hold and Forever After's. Most attractions were designed for families with younger children and offered rides of varying intensity.
The area was the largest DreamWorks-themed section outside the United States for over a decade. The transformation into Kenny and Belinda's Dreamland marked a shift from international licensed characters to Australian mascots.
