Gia Nghĩa, District-level town in Central Highlands, Vietnam.

Gia Nghĩa extends across 284 square kilometers of rolling hills, featuring coffee plantations and farmlands that merge with dense forest regions.

The settlement transformed from a small rural area into an administrative center when it became the capital of Dak Nong Province in 2004.

The name originates from the Jarai language word Yăgrai, meaning water dragon, and was modified during President Ngô Đình Diệm's administration in 1957.

Visitors can reach Gia Nghĩa by taking a four-hour bus ride from Ho Chi Minh City or by flying to the nearest airport in Buon Ma Thuot.

The city records annual rainfall of 2,511 millimeters, with temperatures ranging from 7.6°C in winter to 37.1°C during summer months.
