Rivertown, Themed area in Dreamworld, Gold Coast, Australia

Rivertown is a themed land within Dreamworld featuring a jungle environment with expedition vehicles, ancient relics, and multiple interactive zones for different age groups. The area includes a family roller coaster as well as dining and entertainment options spread throughout.

Rivertown opened with Dreamworld in 1981, home to the Captain Sturt Paddle Wheeler and the Avis Vintage Cars. It was merged into Main Street in the 2010s, and the paddle wheeler closed in 2012. Dreamworld announced Rivertown's return on 24 November 2022; ABC Kids World closed on 8 October 2023, and the rebuilt area opened on 23 December 2024 with Jungle Rush, Murrissippi Motors and Jane's Rivertown Restaurant.

Jane's Rivertown Restaurant is jungle-themed, with animatronic animals, a boat-shaped bar and old Dreamworld posters of the Tower of Terror II and Wipeout. The Rivertown General Store sells Rivertown and Motocoaster merchandise and on-ride photos. The area's name and Murrissippi River echo the paddle wheeler that ran here from 1981 to 2012.

Access is through Dreamworld's main entrance on Dreamworld Parkway in Coomera, with parking and transport options available. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes since there is considerable walking across the sprawling area.

The Murrissipi River channel that the Captain Sturt Paddle Wheeler once toured took Dreamworld founder John Longhurst two years to dig, working seven 12-hour days a week. The boat ride closed in 2012, but the waterway remains in the land's layout.
