One Brickell City Centre is a planned 80-story skyscraper in Miami's financial district that will contain office space, retail areas, and public viewing areas. The structure will span approximately 1.6 million square feet and occupy a prominent location on Brickell Avenue.
The project initially faced restrictions from federal aviation authorities who limited the building height to 475 feet. These restrictions were later revised to allow the structure to reach approximately 1040 feet, significantly changing the original proposal.
The tower, designed by architecture firm Arquitectonica, will include an observation lounge on the 80th floor overlooking Miami's waterfront.
The construction site is located on Brickell Avenue and remains in the demolition and preparation phase. The area may have limited visibility and restricted access during the site preparation and building phases.
Upon completion around 2028, the building will become the tallest structure in Miami and the entire southeastern United States. This achievement would represent a significant change in the city's skyline and position Miami differently among the nation's major cities.
