G. M. C. Balayogi Athletic Stadium

The G. M. C. Balayogi Athletic Stadium contains an eight-lane running track, a football field, and stands with a cantilevered roof spanning 25 meters.

The stadium opened its doors in 2003 as a central venue for the Afro-Asian Games, constructed under the administration of N. Chandrababu Naidu.

The stadium hosted a Guinness World Record event in 2010 when 2,800 dancers performed a traditional Kuchipudi dance performance.

The facility maintains a 40,000-person capacity with dedicated areas for media operations, lighting control rooms, and administrative services in the west block.

The structural design features diagonal yellow steel supports that function both as roof stabilizers and architectural elements.
