Batman Adventure – The Ride, Motion simulator ride at Warner Bros Movie World, Gold Coast, Australia
Batman Adventure – The Ride is a motion simulator attraction at Warner Bros Movie World on the Gold Coast that uses hydraulic tracking systems and high-definition film projections. The four-minute experience takes you flying through Gotham City streets alongside Batman.
The attraction opened in 1992 as a groundbreaking simulator experience that introduced new technology to theme parks. It featured a film directed by Hoyt Yeatman and used actual props from the Batman Returns movie.
The ride connects visitors with Batman by letting them step into Gotham City as it appears in Tim Burton's films. You experience the superhero world through the eyes of the story rather than just watching it.
You enter through Wayne Manor and pass through the Batcave before boarding, so expect a walk through these themed areas. During busy periods, arriving early in the day helps you avoid longer waits at the ride.
You go on a rescue mission to save children from the Penguin in Gotham City during the ride. This plot element gives the experience a story beyond just the motion and effects, making it feel like you are part of the film rather than just a passenger.
