MaXair, Giant Frisbee ride at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, United States.
MaxAir is a spinning ride at Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky where a large, flat gondola rotates around its axis while swinging back and forth on a pendulum arm. The cabin spins continuously as it swings up to heights near 141 feet and back down again.
The ride opened in 2005 and was among only a handful of such attractions of its kind in North America when it debuted. It remains one of the less common HUSS Giant Frisbee models installed worldwide.
The addition of maXair strengthens Cedar Point's position as a major entertainment destination, complementing its extensive collection of thrill rides.
The ride transports about 50 people per cycle in a secure gondola with shoulder harnesses and dedicated compartments for belongings. Visitors should know that the journey involves intense spinning and swinging motions.
During the ride, passengers experience different forces: at the highest point, a sensation of weightlessness can occur, while in the lower areas of the swing, strong G-forces are generated. These extreme physical sensations make it memorable for many visitors.
