Fear Factor Live, Interactive stunt show at Universal Studios Florida, United States.
Fear Factor Live was an interactive stunt show at Universal Studios Florida that featured daily performances with participants facing physical challenges on stage. The show combined elements like heights, live creatures, and unusual foods as part of a theatrical production before an audience.
The show opened in spring 2005, taking the place of a previous stunt performance at the venue. It closed permanently in 2020 following pandemic-related shutdowns at the park.
The show brought the television format to life as a live competition where park visitors could experience the same type of challenges they knew from the series. Audiences watched ordinary people test their courage in front of crowds.
Participants needed to be at least 18 years old and sign up at a booth near the theater entrance to take part. The registration happened on-site, and visitors could volunteer during any day of the week when the show ran.
Participants had to complete extreme tasks like hanging from a bar high above the ground while strong winds pushed against them. Another challenge involved reaching into tanks of water containing eels to retrieve specific items.
