Orlando Premium Outlets, Outlet store in Orlando, US
Orlando Premium Outlets is a large shopping center in Orlando featuring over 170 stores with clothing, accessories, and home goods from well-known brands. The shops offer products from international and American retailers at lower prices than standard retail locations.
The complex opened in 1990 as Belz Factory Outlet World, with 175 stores in two indoor malls, four annexes and an outdoor designer outlet center. Prime Retail bought it in summer 2005 and renamed it Prime Outlets-Orlando; after a multimillion-dollar remodel it reopened in September 2007 as Prime Outlets-International, and the final phase with over 40 stores opened in April 2008. Simon Property Group's Premium Outlet sector acquired it in late August 2010, renaming it Orlando Premium Outlets-International Drive that September.
The name changed with each owner: Belz Factory Outlet World until 2005, Prime Outlets-Orlando after Prime Retail's purchase, Prime Outlets-International from 2007, and Orlando Premium Outlets-International Drive since September 2010 under Simon Property Group. The site is split between the main center and a separate Outlet Marketplace Center of 20 stores, together over 180 shops.
The complex has two parts: the main center and a separate Outlet Marketplace Center with 20 stores. Lynx buses 8, 24 and 42 serve the outlets along the northern end of International Drive. Plan for walking between buildings, since the layout is outdoors.
