Six Flags Magic Mountain, Amusement park in Santa Clarita, United States.
Six Flags Magic Mountain is an amusement park in Valencia near Santa Clarita in California with twenty roller coasters and other rides across roughly 209 acres (85 hectares). The complex divides into eleven themed areas connected by paths and plazas.
The complex opened in 1971 as a joint project between Sea World Inc and the Newhall Land and Farming Company. Six Flags took over the park in 1979 and expanded it over the decades into a center for roller coasters.
The name refers to the mountain location where the park sits on hilly terrain that shapes many of its rides. Visitors today see Warner Bros cartoon characters greeting them at entrances and performing in outdoor shows throughout the day.
The park sits north of Los Angeles and is accessible via Interstate 5, with parking lots directly at the entrance. Most rides have height and weight restrictions posted at the queue lines.
Wonder Woman: Flight of Courage opened in 2022 and made this the first amusement park in the world with twenty operating roller coasters at the same time. This coaster is the tallest and fastest of its type with single-sided trains.

Nevada offers far more than the casinos of Las Vegas and Reno. The Clown Motel in Tonopah houses an unusual collection, while the Neon Boneyard in Las Vegas preserves historic electric signs. The Pinball Hall of Fame displays machines spanning several decades, and the International Car Forest near Goldfield presents painted vehicles as outdoor art. History seekers can explore the ghost town of Rhyolite near Beatty with its abandoned mining era buildings and the Pioneer Saloon in Goodsprings, a working tavern since 1913.
California offers families many places where children learn through play and exploration. From major theme parks to museums and nature centers, there are opportunities for hands-on experiences throughout the state. Children can perform scientific experiments, watch animals up close, enjoy rides, and discover new things in different environments. Large parks like Disneyland and Universal Studios bring stories to life and let children step into imaginative worlds. Other locations such as the California Science Center and Exploratorium focus on science and natural phenomena. Aquariums and zoos display animals in their habitats. Traditional attractions like the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk combine entertainment with outdoor enjoyment. Each destination suits different age groups and interests. Some places are large and energetic, while others are calmer and focused on specific subjects. Families can choose what works best for their children and preferences.
