Ninja, Steel roller coaster in Six Flags Magic Mountain, California.
Ninja is a steel roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain with suspended seating that hangs beneath the rails. The ride travels through multiple inversions at speeds up to 55 mph (88 km/h) along its two-minute course.
The coaster was built in 1988 by Arrow Dynamics and reused the former station building of the Dragon tram, which operated until 1981. This adaptation incorporated an existing structure into a new ride concept.
The station building displays Japanese design elements and large reproductions of Edo period woodblock prints. This themed setting shapes the overall experience as visitors move through the area.
Riders must meet specific height requirements and secure all loose articles before boarding. The two-minute experience includes intense movements that may be uncomfortable for those sensitive to inversions and spinning motions.
The track includes two separate lift hills, with the second elevation near the end bringing trains back toward the station. This unusual setup creates two distinct phases of rapid descent within a single ride.
