Canyon Blaster, Steel roller coaster in Six Flags Magic Mountain, Valencia, California, United States.
Canyon Blaster is a steel roller coaster located in the Bugs Bunny World section of Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California. The track runs through gentle curves and a short lift hill, making it one of the slower rides in the park.
The ride was built by E&F Miler Industries and opened in 1999. It has stayed in the park ever since, aimed at younger visitors taking their first steps on a roller coaster.
The roller coaster incorporates mining car designs and references from the Looney Tunes characters throughout the ride experience.
The ride sits in the Bugs Bunny World area, which is designed for families with young children and is easy to find from the park entrance. Because it is aimed at children, wait times are usually short outside of school holidays.
The track rises only about 16 feet (5 meters) and reaches barely more than 16 miles per hour (around 26 km/h), making it one of the slowest coasters at a major American theme park. That very modesty is what makes it the right choice for children who have never been on a roller coaster before.
