Canyon Country is a residential neighborhood in Santa Clarita nestled between the Sierra Pelona Mountains and San Gabriel Mountains. The area features housing developments integrated into rolling hills with natural landscapes and green spaces.

The area was home to Tataviam Native Americans for 500 years before becoming part of Rancho San Francisco following Spanish settlement in 1790. This shift marked the transition from indigenous lands to European-controlled agricultural ranches.

The neighborhood holds weekly food truck gatherings and seasonal festivals, bringing together residents for community celebrations throughout the year.

The neighborhood has several shopping centers, parks, and schools that serve daily community needs. Cars are the main way to get around this spread-out residential area.

The neighborhood is one of four districts that together form Santa Clarita, alongside Valencia, Newhall, and Saugus. This multi-community structure still shapes how the larger city functions and feels today.
